About the Initiative
Justice for Protective Mothers is coordinating an international initiative to document the experiences of protective mothers and child affected by domestic violence, coercive control, vicarious violence, parental child abduction and institutional failures.
Our objective is to prepare a collective submission to United Nations human rights mechanisms based on documented evidence from multiple countries. By bringing together individual cases, we aim to highlight recurring patterns of institutional failures and contribute to international efforts to strengthen the protection of mothers and children.
This initiative is open to protective mothers, human rights organisations, legal professionals and other organisations committed to protecting the rights of women and child victims.
Who Can Participate?
This initiative welcomes contributions from:
– Protective mothers.
– Human rights organisations.
– Lawyers and legal professionals.
– Researchers and academics.
– NGOs working in women’s and children’s rights.
Submission Timeline
30 September 2026
Deadline for participants to submit their individual documentation to Justice for Protective Mothers.
31 October 2026
Completion of the collective report and final review.
30 November 2026
Planned submission of the collective communication to the relevant United Nations human rights mechanisms.

– Court Decisions
– Medical and Evidence supporting the case
– Psychological Reports (if available)

All documentation is handled confidentially and processed in accordance with the participant’s consent. Personal information will only be used for the purposes authorised by each participant and shared only where explicit consent has been provided.
